The Fur Trade Will Finally End

Many claim that furs have been used since the origins of human history, but our ancestors did not kill animals to remove their skins, nor did they skin them alive as is the case today.
Finally, the fur trade will end

For the fur trade, many animals are tortured because their skin is torn off while they are still alive. In a civilized country like Denmark, more than 17 million mink furs are produced annually.

Furs have been used as a garment from the very beginning in the history of mankind, but the avarice to earn money with them has meant that the animals were mistreated until they were killed to satisfy the human desire to flaunt, for the luxury and for profits.

We have good news: the end of the fur trade  is imminent.

The influence of fur in world trade

The fur trade has become an important source of income worldwide,  although there are some countries where it is more, such as Russia, China and the Nordic countries: Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

For example, 75 million dogs, foxes, minks and raccoons are killed in China with the sole aim of using their fur as a source of income.

These were hunted to eat them and, subsequently, their furs were used to cover themselves. Animals were often expected to die naturally.

However, our avarice has reached unsuspected levels.

The United States, pioneers of this cruelty together with China, sacrifice about 7 million animals a year to please lovers of luxury.

A magazine called LAIKA made a report in which it assured that these figures will reach zero.

When photographer Jo-Anne Mc Arthur was interviewed, she said that many people are unaware that animals are sacrificed to make their fur dresses.

In one of his works, he stated that he has photographed at least 25 types of furs in Europe and Canada, and that every time he sees a person wearing them, he thinks: “if he had seen what I saw, he would not wear it”.

Further data on the fur trade

Denmark produces more than 17 million mink furs per year. Furthermore, this little animal is one of the most sought after and valuable in this trade.

It is raised in very small cages in which it can barely move: it is precisely for this reason that it dies.

It is torn from its natural habitat,  in which it lives alone near water.

These animals are raised en masse and end up fighting and killing each other.

These are just some data that show that this trade has not slowed down yet, and that money seems to be the most important thing in this world.

The end of the fur trade

We live in a world where  cruelty is no longer something to be allowed and, as a result, many activists have set out to end this trade.

The various industries have prepared proposals and alternatives stating that animals do not suffer, but all those who fight for the cause know that this is impossible.

How is the coat removed from animals? While he is alive or is he first killed? How can this suffering be avoided?

The Giorgio Armani industry has announced that it will be giving up fur in its clothing,  and has been delivering on its promise for two years. Calvin Klein, for example, has stopped using them for years.

The law prohibits animal abuse and this is what activist groups are trying to show the world.

They are moving in legislative ways and everything seems to indicate that in many countries the judges are on their side.

In Norway, within 6 years, all fur farms and fur factories will have to close, and this is only the beginning. The end of this trade is imminent!
