The ideal is to use fruit, such as strawberries, apples, pears, peaches or blueberries. But you can also make ice cream for dogs using salty ingredients, which bring lean, good quality protein to our furry friend.

Ingrediants

  • Half a banana cut into chunks
  • Half an apple cut into wedges, without seeds
  • Two or three strawberries
  • 100 ml of vegetable milk
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Processing

  • Blend the fruit and vegetable milk.
  • Add cinnamon and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the appropriate popsicle molds and cover with cling film, to prevent the preparation from contaminating.
  • If you prefer, you can insert a dog bar as a stick, in order to facilitate the grip.
  • Place in the freezer and, once frozen, use at discretion.

Lactose-free apple ice cream

This ice cream for dogs is ideal if we don’t have much time but want to give our four-legged friend something fresh and tasty.

We will only use apple and water, to avoid lactose, which many dogs do not digest.

Ingrediants

  • A medium sized apple, cut into wedges and without seeds
  • 100 ml of water at room temperature

Preparation

  • Blend the apple with the water.
  • Pour into an ice mold and return to the freezer.
  • Once ready, give the dog 2-3 ice cream cubes, depending on the age and weight of the animal.

Ice cream for dogs with chicken, potato and carrots

This ice cream for dogs is made with salty ingredients, to refresh and provide minerals and proteins at the same time.

  • A chicken breast or the meat of a thigh
  • A carrot
  • A potato
  • Half a tablespoon of oil
  • Water to taste

Processing

  • Boil the meat and vegetables in water. When cooked, turn off the heat and leave to cool.
  • Blend the ingredients with a little of the cooking broth, until the mixture has a homogeneous and creamy consistency. At this point, add the oil.
  • Pour the mixture into the appropriate popsicle molds and return to the freezer.
  • Once ready, serve one to the dog.
